Top clean tech companies invited to pitch at the upcoming BusinessGreen Technology Festival
The UK's clean technology community is being invited to take part in the inaugural BusinessGreen Technology Challenge as part of this autumn's BusinessGreen Technology Festival and Awards.
In support of BusinessGreen's Net Zero Now campaign, the Challenge will provide the centre-piece to the BusinessGreen Technology Festival at the Plexal in East London on December 5th. It will see some of the UK's most exciting clean tech innovators deliver short elevator pitches to an audience of top green business executives, investors, and start-ups, detailing how their technology can help accelerate the net zero transition.
The challenge covers the fields of energy, buildings, transport, and a wildcard category for technologies that can deliver deep emissions cuts in other sectors. The audience will then be able to vote for their favourite technologies in each field and overall.
Green technology providers can submit an application to take part in the challenge as part of their entry to the BusinessGreen Technology Awards, the winners of which will be announced separately at a ceremony at the close of the festival.
"The BusinessGreen Technology Festival provides a unique resource for both clean tech providers and big businesses working to enhance their sustainability, but as well as providing a forum to discuss how to deploy green technologies at pace and scale, we also want to showcase some of the most exciting technology innovations that are emerging across the green economy," explained BusinessGreen editor-in-chief James Murray. "The Challenge will deliver a rapid-fire insight into some of the cutting-edge technologies that promise to unlock the next phase of green economic development and competitiveness.
"It will also provide some of the UK's top clean tech providers with an opportunity to present in front of an audience of prospective customers, partners, and investors."
The Challenge runs in parallel to the fifth annual BusinessGreen Technology Awards, which once again offers the UK's green technology sector an opportunity to showcase their achievements and highlight the work that is going on to develop and deploy the technologies that will enable a cleaner, healthier, and more prosperous economy. The deadline for entries to the awards is 5pm on September 27th.
