WATCH: Broadcaster Lucy Siegle chats to E3G's Alex Scott about the state of climate geopolitics ahead of COP28, in a fascinating discussion at the Net Zero Festival 2023

Alex Scott, climate diplomacy and geopolitics programme lead at environmental think tank E3G, has more than a decade of experience in influencing local, national and international climate policy.

Her work focusses on mapping the geopolitical landscape onto diplomatic strategy across sectoral issues, and between governments and NGO networks, to drive up climate policy ambition and secure the financing to deliver it.

At last week's Net Zero Festival 2023, Scott joined broadcaster and environment journalist Lucy Siegel for a fireside chat about the state of geopolitics surrounding climate change and net zero today, and the hopes, challenges and opportunities for progress at the upcoming COP28 UN Climate Summit in Dubai.

Their conversation can be watched back in full in the video below.

While this year's event may have drawn to a close, the Net Zero Festival will be back in force again in 2024 - so sign up here to stay in the loop on the plans for next year's event.
