The UK's leading green business, sustainability executives, and clean tech entrepreneurs have just two weeks left to submit their entries for this year's BusinessGreen Leaders Awards 2015.
The UK's largest and most prestigious green business awards will take place on July 1st at the Brewery in the City of London. To be in with a chance of winning green business, sustainability teams, and NGOs have until Friday 13th of March to submit their entries for one of our categories.
Now in their fifth year, the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards will bring together 600 business leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, sustainability executives, and politicians for a glittering awards ceremony, supported by lead sponsor AECOM.
The highly sought after awards include sustainability executive of the year, renewable energy project of the year, small business of the year, and the coveted company of the year. We are also launching two new categories to find the best green business advertising or marketing campaign of the year and the most successful employee engagement campaign of the year.
Previous winners of the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards include Sir Stuart Rose, IKEA, Solarcentury's Jeremy Leggett, PwC, Abundance Generation, Diageo, Caroline Lucas and Lord Deben. Could this be the year you join them as a BusinessGreen Leader?
The theme of this year's awards is action. As we reach the half way point of a decade that will in many ways determine whether or not the UK, Europe, and the wider world can build a genuinely sustainable economy we want to celebrate how leading businesses and NGOs are taking action to tackle environmental risks and seize the opportunities presented by cleaner technologies and business models.
The entry process is simple and the awards are free to enter, although we require shortlisted companies to purchase a minimum of two tickets to attend the ceremony.
The entries will be judged against the stated criteria by our distinguished panel of judges, which includes MPs Alan Whitehead and Laura Sandys, former BusinessGreen Leaders Awards winners, such as Julia Groves of Trillion Fund and Hanergy's Estee Chaikin, and leading experts from across the green economy, such as Aldersgate Group's Nick Molho, WRAP's Dr Liz Goodwin, Dr Nina Skorupska of the Renewable Energy Association, and Hubbub's Trewin Restorick.
As with previous years, our judging panel will be split into two groups to ensure each entry is given thorough consideration and enable any conflicts of interest with certain categories to be avoided.
