Mark Bornhoft is a commercial director at Eigen ventures working with early and seed stage clean-tech ventures on business development, market engagement, and investment.  

He has spent 20 years in technology innovation and commercialisation and led low-carbon business incubation programmes for Department of Energy and Climate Change, Carbon Trust and ERDF assisting over 200 low-carbon ventures.  

Mark has first hand experience running a start-up as CEO of a Surrey University spin-out in fibre-optic sensing taking it from lab-bench to VC backed acquisition.

He previously worked as an Investment Manager in New Zealand and in energy contracts, product and service development in the energy and telecommunications sectors for ECNZ, Nortel, GEC.
