The all new BusinessGreen Technology Festival and Awards is open for entries
This December BusinessGreen will host the fifth annual BusinessGreen Technology Awards, once again bringing together the great and good of the UK green tech sector to promote and celebrate the cutting-edge clean technologies that promise to turn the vision of a sustainable net zero emission economy into a reality.
The Technology Awards are always a fantastically inspiring and highly competitive event, allowing green start-ups and major brands to connect and share information on the latest emerging clean technology trends at the same time as celebrating their considerable achievements.
However, this year's awards will be a little different. One of the common themes we hear from across the green technology community is that while innovative and effective new technologies are emerging faster than ever to help tackle our shared environmental challenges, deploying necessarily disruptive new systems and approaches at scale remains immensely challenging.
Our awards and related Technology and Investment Forums have helped many firms overcome some of the barriers they face by helping to raise their profile and make new connections. But it is clear more can be done, especially to bring together green technology innovators with the blue chip clients and investors that can enable scalable deployments.
That is why this year's Awards will form part of a wider day-long BusinessGreen Technology Festival, providing green technology developers, users, and investors with a unique opportunity to jointly explore the challenges and opportunities presented by the net zero transition.
As the latest component in our Net Zero Now campaign, the Festival will feature invaluable presentations from leading speakers on how to accelerate the deployment of critical clean technologies and maximise the environmental and commercial benefits they can bring. A series of streamed sessions will also provide tailored guidance for Blue Chip sustainability executives, green technology entrepreneurs, and sustainable investors, on how to overcome the barriers faced by the green technology sector.
Meanwhile, the fifth annual BusinessGreen Technology Awards will be accompanied by the inaugural BusinessGreen Net Zero Technology Challenge, where some of our finalists will provide speed pitches detailing how their technologies promise to enable deep decarbonisation over the coming years. Companies entering the awards can put forward an application to present as part of the challenge, while there is also an opportunity for businesses interested in setting a specific challenge to work with BusinessGreen as a Festival partner.
Supported by our sponsors JA Kemp and Clean Growth UK, the Festival provides a unique opportunity to not just celebrate the UK's burgeoning green technology sector but also catalyse the crucial next wave of clean technology development and deployment.
The BusinessGreen Technology Festival and Awards will take place in London on Thursday December 5. The awards are open for entries until September 27 and tickets for the Festival and Awards are on sale now with Early Bird prices starting from £99 for the day.
The full speaker line up, venue, and judging panel will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
The BusinessGreen Technology Awards are free to enter, but in order to invest in hosting the Awards and Festival the terms and conditions require all shortlisted entries to confirm their attendance at the awards. Please check that you have the time and budget to attend the Awards and Festival on December 5 before submitting your entry.
Whether you work for a mainstream company looking to accelerate its environmental efforts or a clean tech innovator looking to deliver transformative green technologies, we hope you can join us for what promises to be an inspiring day celebrating and connecting the best of the UK's green economy.
