BusinessGreen launches the UK Green Business Awards 2024

The UK’s premier green business awards will take place on 12 June - and you can enter now

BusinessGreen has today officially launched the second annual UK Green Business Awards, providing the country's most innovative and inspiring businesses, entrepreneurs, and campaigners with a unique opportunity to showcase their environmental feats and promote the success of the burgeoning green economy.

The awards will take place on the evening of Wednesday 12 June at The Brewery in Farringdon, London, bringing together over 600 leading executives, investors, business leaders, and campaigners for a gala ceremony to celebrate the UK's best and brightest green businesses, projects, and initiatives.

A wide range of categories will cover the full breadth of a green economy that is more critical than ever to the UK's competitiveness, rewarding the most inspiring renewables, energy efficiency, and circular economy projects of the year, as well as the most exciting marketing campaigns, small businesses, and innovations.

This year will also feature a range of new categories for the fast-expanding green hospitality sector, cutting edge green IT projects, green transport pioneers, and low carbon heavy industry projects.

And there will be a chance for individuals and teams to shine, with awards for the Rising Star, Entrepreneur, Sustainability Executive, and Green Business Leader of the Year.

The UK Green Business Awards, which are now in their second year, build on the huge success of the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards that ran for over a decade and celebrated the work of hundreds of top green businesses and projects. The revamped awards are designed to further underscore the centrality of the green business community to the UK economy and way in which businesses of all types are increasingly engaging with the transition to a net zero and nature positive economy.

"BusinessGreen is delighted once again host the UK Green Business Awards - the premier celebration of the best of the country's pioneering green economy," said BusinessGreen editor-in-chief, James Murray. "The UK Green Business Awards offer a unique opportunity to highlight some of the most exciting, inspiring, and innovative companies, projects, and campaigns operating in the UK today, while rewarding the many organisations that are striving to build an economy that is sustainable, healthier, and more prosperous for all.

"We want the awards to showcase as many as possible of the UK's leading firms and entrepreneurs, who together represent the very best of the UK's world-leading green business community. That is why the awards remain free to enter, and we'd urge everyone working to advance the UK's sustainability efforts to get their entries in ahead of the deadline."

The deadline for awards entries falls at midnight on Friday 1 March 2024.

Shortlisted entries will then be assessed by our panel of esteemed judges, which will be unveiled early next month. And the finalists will be invited to join us for a glittering awards ceremony on the evening of Wednesday 12 June, featuring keynote speeches from leading politicians, musical entertainment, and a gala three course dinner, as well as the chance to network with hundreds of the best and brightest from across the UK's green economy.
