Tacis  Gavoyannis has more than 30 years of marketing and international business development experience in telecoms, datacoms and Smart City sectors, having worked in a range of senior management roles for British Telecom International, Motorola, Cable & Wireless, Mercury Communications, RR Donnelley, De La Rue Systems Ltd, Callahan Broadband Wireless Inc, Orange PLC, TNS PLC,  Siemens PLC, and Smart City Partners Ltd.

Tacis' expertise covers all Smart City Challenges, fixed and mobile communications, cable, broadband, and Internet of Things. He has played key roles in winning and setting up the operations for both GSM and WiLL licenses. In addition, he has set up operational divisions in a number of European countries for mobile and wireless local loop start ups. He has been involved in the selection and negotiation of dealer networks and has experience with operators globally, helping many companies enter new markets and extend their product line.

Tacis has founded companies in leisure and high tech the latest being a software streaming application for connected TV  www.tvmobili.com

Engaged in strategic consultancy and business transformation within www.Siemens.com on Smart Communities and Smart Cities solutions in particular Community Energy, Electric Vehicles, micro grid solutions and Internet of Things.

He is a futurologist and researcher able to bring value to technology players worldwide. He has particular interests in Smart Cities, Telemedicine, IoT, New Energy and Smart Transport.

He is also a Fellow of the RSA and a mentor with Springboard Internet of things in Cambridge Springboard Accelerator.
